Looking to up your game?

BRAND STRATEGY
LOGO & WEB DESIGN in the valley of the racehorse & beyond…

I help solopreneurs and small business owners with their branding, web design, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), social media presence and marketing strategy.

I’m based at a racing yard in Lambourn, Berkshire, but work with people all over the UK and abroad.

What I do

I can help you launch your new business with a targeted marketing strategy, unique brand identity and a fantastic, fully responsive, user friendly website that can be found on Google. Already in business?  I am available to consult, re-brand, re-fresh and rejuvenate your presence, both on and offline.

Looking for a more DIY approach?  I can source your domain, host, upload WordPress, your security certificate and plugins, plus teach you how to manage your website yourself.

Marketing Strategy

Your marketing strategy should be targeted.  What is your USP?  What is your mission, your vision and your values?  Who is your ideal customer and what makes them tick? Is your brand niche enough to set up apart from the competition?

Do you need help with some or all of the above, and your ongoing marketing plan?

Brand Identity

Do you have a logo that is simple but says a lot – i.e. does it embody your brand without over-complicating things? Can your logo stand alone as a mark and will it work well across digital, social and print platforms?

Once your visual brand identity has been established we can then roll it out across all your marketing materials – both on and offline.

Web Design

Great web design should have immediate impact & be a true representation of your business and offering.  Above all, it should convert visitors to customers with opt-in forms, offers, great copy, visuals and SEO.

Your website needs to reflect your business’ values and be targeted to your ideal customer. Let’s make it engage and stand-out!

Case Studies

Brand identity and web design work for SB360Physio in Bristol & Kerry Camden Therapy and Coaching in London.  Logos for Kirstie Manning Design in Huddersfield &  The Yoga Glow Studio in Portishead, Somerset.

01

Kirstie Manning Design

Kirstie is an interior designer working in Yorkshire, UK.  She specialises in kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms and wanted her brand identity to convey all three disciplines – with icons that work well separately and together.  A reversed out version was used for headed paper and invoicing, with the icons at the top of the page and KM Design’s contact details at the footer.

02

Yoga Glow Studio

The owner of Yoga Glow was frustrated at not being found on Google and wanted to push for more clients with new branding, a website refresh and a load of on-page and off-page SEO.  In a short space of time I achieved Google page 1 for yoga classes in her area and increased her enquiries and client base significantly.

03

Kerry Mae Camden

Marisa Peer Method hypnotherapist and coach based in Fulham, West London.  Kerry’s brand identity focuses on problems floating away with the the dandelion clock at the core of logo and website design.  The icon works as a stand-alone image and the colours of the website fall back to the imagery.

04

SB360 Physiotherapy

The logo needed to reflect 360 degree energy and look warm and inviting, as opposed to masculine and clinical – as so many physiotherapy logos fall into that category.  Sarah’s business strives to encourage inclusivity as well, i.e. physiotherapy for everyone, not just professional athletes and sports people. Copywriting and imagery supplied by me as well.

“Kate is highly skilled and an expert website designer. Her work is meticulous, and always delivered in a timely manner.
Kate is a pleasure to work with, and I completely trust her with all aspects of my website design and maintenance.”
Avril Scott – Online Therapist

30 years’ experience

I started my creative career at Ogilvy Advertising in the 1990s as a group secretary (worst job in the world), then account executive (so-so), then Creative Manager (best job in the world).  I left Ogilvy to do a post-grad diploma in Art Direction and Copywriting at Watford, where I was taught by Mr Milk Tray himself, Tony Cullingham. Graduate stints at various agencies led to a full-time role at Impact FCA!, then part of the Publicis Group.  I slid sideways and almost by accident into Design, with long stints at Design Clinic and Brandhouse, and a brief sojourn at Lambie Nairn.  I was the world’s worst freelancer.  If an agency asked me to stay on full-time, I usually did.

Past clients include Tesco, O2, Hamleys, Channel 5, Sky, L’Oreal, Helen Browning’s, Gonzalez Byass, Playboy TV, Hotpoint & Marks & Spencer.

some kind words

Since moving to Lambourn I’ve worked with a variety of clients; from electricians, interior designers and property developers, to physiotherapists, yoga studios and mindfulness specialists, not to mention a racehorse trainer, racing royalty and the charity ‘Racing To Help Ukraine’.

“Kate delivers on time and on brief.  She designed my original identity and, when it no longer suited my expanding therapies business, she simplified it to reflect the variety of treatments now on offer. I didn’t think I could love any identity as much as the first, but once again she surpassed my expectations.”

Sarah

Owner, Sarah Sellick Therapies

“Hi Kate.  Just wanted to say your website design is fabulous.  I never doubted you for a minute.  So glad I found you!”

Katina

Director, Portishead Parent

“Meeting Kate was a breath of fresh air.  We spent a short amount of time discussing my likes, dislikes and who I was as a person, and from this she came up with a great concept.  It summed up both the image I wanted to portray for my business, but also captured the essence of who I am.  I have no idea how she managed to get it so right!”

Jacqui

Owner, Jacqui Bagatelas
